Motivation

It is not easy to get up in the morning, to face the daily task of the day.  We have our families, our jobs, our homes and then we think about ourselves.
It is time to put ourselves 1st.  If you do not begin putting yourself 1st then who is going to be able o take care of your family, do your job, and take care of the home.
Working out and eating right is the right thing to do, there is no more waiting for the right time to make it happen.  It is time to do it today!!
Good luck and share your success and pictures today.

Tuesday 2/1/11

Today was a late start of a day for me . On the road to a NJ Chamber breakfast event at 830.  so no breakfast til 9am.
Feeling better today. I think the effects of carb and sugar withdrawl have passed.  I am finding more energy during the day and find i am ready for sleep by 1130.
I was on the road all day so lunch was a met-rx big 100 (1/2) protein bar.
stopped for a nice bottle of Cabernet to enjoy in the evening
Finding that in the evening I think of snacks, but a huge step in not eating them and rather I drink a large glass of cold water.

1st night cold therapy, I am wimp and starting slow with an ice pack on my back for about 30 minutes.  Surprisingly it didn't hurt, and rather felt good and a little relaxing.  More to come on the cold therapy.

Monday 1/31/11

Down 2.4 lbs

Today was day 2 of following the 4 Hour plan and my 1st of doing so while working.  I planned my meals and supplements.

Breakfast was a 36g Vanilla protein shake.  Followed with lunch of fresh spinach with Tuna and beans tossed with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. 2nd lunch was 2 hard boiled eggs, with fresh spinach and beans.

Lots and lots of water.

I was feeling a little sluggish by about 330pm.  I think that effects of no sugar and carbs are kicking in.

Withdrawal symptoms certainly have their effects.

I had one minor slip thanks to Mint chocolate girls scout cookies.  I only had 2, which is great knowing that I can eat half a box.

Dinner was good, fresh steamed broccoli and general tso chicken.  leftovers from Saturdays dinner.  The chicken not key on the plan because of the breading, but i was dragging and it was just too easy.

I continue to read through the book for anything that I missed and read various web sites and blogs.  Thanks to everyone that shares their experiences, as it helps everyone

Looking forward to a good night sleep and day 3.

The 4 Hour Body

I have been reading the 4 Hour Body for a week now, and will officially begin tomorrow 1/31/11.

Today may be my unofficial start day, as I wanted to see how a day went without the pressure of getting up and getting ready for work.  It was pretty easy, and surprisingly the foods were great.

Protein shake for Breakfast
Spinach, Beans and Eggs for Lunch
Egg for smaller lunch (wasn't very hungry)
Sausage( ok not the best, but everyone else was having pasta), spinach and beans...

Did I also mention a ton of ice water...

Coffee no Splenda, little cream.  Just not ready to go black on my coffee and have tried cinnamon before.

Took PAGG supplements as described in vitamins and supplements.

Looking good, and lets see what tomorrow brings.

Moving My Blog

Well, though I enjoyed having my previous Blog, I have decided to venture on to a new one.

This one is appropriate to what I want to help others with.  Finding their journey too health.

I am looking forward to sharing my experiences, and hope that you will do the same.

Thanks
